Abstract
Bajo el nombre de Bajío se reconoce a una porción relativamente poco accidentada del territorio de México, de aproximadamente 20 000 km2 de extensión, ubicada en el extremo sur del Altiplano. En función de las características favorables de su clima y de sus suelos, una importante parte de la región se explota desde tiempos prehispánicos por medio de la agricultura y en la actualidad alberga una población de más de 4 millones de habitantes.In all cases, authors will retain the moral rights established by law and they will yield the right of first publication of their article to the journal.
